Wherever liquids are wherever liquids are handled, residual quantities are leftover, possibly resulting in contaminated mixtures or similar, which are collected for later disposal or reprocessing. Products made of steel can be used for many chemical substances. Especially for corrosive substances (acids/alkalis), products made of pla- stic (polyethylene) are often required. Stainless steel offers high-quality protection, especially against many aggressive liquids. When a sponge is pressed onto the spring-mounted plunger plate, the following happens: when the plate is lowered, the liquid is conveyed upwards via the pumping mechanism. As soon as the sponge is wetted and removed from the plunger plate, the plate moves back up. At the same time, any residual liquid runs back into the container.
